Our Story
The Graduate Democrats Caucus (GRADEC) started in 2017 as an informal group of like-minded graduate students who shared the belief that governance should pursue shared prosperity for all. After much deliberation, the group in 2021 agreed to reorganize as a formal association to contribute to shaping public policy in Ghana.

President
Dr Gabriel Aboyadana
Dr Gabriel Aboyadana has served as the interim president since July 2021 and has led the reorganisation process for GRADEC. He has over a decade of experience teaching in higher education in Ghana, Scotland and England. He is a financial and development economist with research interests in Banking, Labour, Education and Health. He is currently a lecturer in Economics and Finance at the University of Worcester and a Senior Economic and Finance Consultant at Aliboma Ltd. Gabriel is also active in politics, currently serving as the Secretary of the National Democratic Congress in Scotland. Head of Finance and Resource Mobilization
Solace Salamatu Mohammed
Solace is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana. She obtained her first and master's degrees from the University of Ghana in Sociology and MBA (Finance) respectively. She is the Lead Accountant at Aide Chemists Ltd, a locally owned pharmaceutical company in Ghana. Prior to this, she was an Internal Audit Officer with Metro Mass Transit Limited.
She previously worked as a part-time Accounts Officer for the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Tantra Hill Assembly and is currently a part-time Accounts Officer for ICGC Liberty Temple. She was the General Secretary for the University of Ghana Chapter of the Graduate Students' Association of Ghana (GRASAG), for the 2018/2019 academic year and is currently the Treasurer for the Higher Heights branch of the NDC.
Solace desires to lend a helping hand to the needy and less privileged in society. She aspires to excellence and believes that everybody can become someone in life if given the opportunity accompanied by the right attitude.
Public Relations Officer
Adolf Onomah Acquah
Adolf Onomah Acquah is the interim public relations officer for GRADEC. He is a a Teacher, Politician, Communicator, Development Expert and Local Governance Expert . He has a Diploma in Basic Education, a Master of Arts (Democracy, Governance, Law and Development) and a Master of Arts in Sociology all from the University of Cape Coast and a Bachelor of Arts (Social Studies Education) from the University of Education, Winneba. He also has a Certificate in Journalism and Communication.
Over the years, he has served as the National Senate Marshall for the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG, Interim Management Committee Member for the UCC chapter of GRASAG, Teaching Staff Welfare Chairman, Komenda Senior High Technical School and a Member of Board of Governors, Komenda Senior High Technical School among others.
Deputy Public Relations Officer
Justice Badaam Parmaak
Justice Badam Parmaak is currently a Ph.D. candidate in occupational health and safety in oilfield chemicals at Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He holds a Masters in Public Health from, KNUST, a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the Catholic University of Ghana, and a Diploma in Nursing from the Tamale Nursing and Midwifery Training College. He works as the District Public Health Officer responsible for reproductive and child health services for Nanumba South District, Wulensi. He previously worked a Registered General Nurse from 2013 to 2017 and served as interim President of a coalition of concerned nurses and midwives, Ghana from 2013 to 2017. He was also the PRO, Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association(GRMNA) for , West Gonja District from 2014 to 2018 and was a constituency communication team member for the NDC in the 2020 in Bunkpurugu.

Seth Barnie Enning
Mr. Seth Barnie Enning is currently the interim Head of Media and Publicity for GRADEC, and an educationist at the Second Cycle Educational level. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Political Science from the University of Education, Winneba and a Master of Philosophy in Geography and Resource Development from the University of Ghana, Legon. Seth has served as a member of the judicial committee of Graduate Students Association of Ghana- Legon chapter. He was a member of the NASPA Ashanti Regional Media and Publicity team and also the President of NASPA- Bekwai Municipal.

Dr Prince James Adeti
Dr Adeti is a scientist at Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC) where has served on the GAEC-Credit Union Board as the Vice Chairman and on a committee that reviews the conditions of service for Staff of GAEC. He had his M.Phil from the University of Ghana and Ph.D from the University of Cape Coast. He previously served as the Vice president of the Graduate Students' Association of Ghana-Legon (GRASAG-Legon) and also served as a member of the Graduate School Board of the University of Ghana. In politics, has served as the branch chairman of Shammah Assembly of God 1B branch of the NDC in the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency in the Greater -Accra Region.

Zaid Haruna
Zaid Haruna is a Bioethicist and a Public Health Nutritionist with a research interest in Maternal and Child Health. He has over a decade of experience in health and social interventions programme Management, Public Health Nutrition, and Bioethics. He is currently a Principal Technologist and Assistant Administrator for the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research-Institutional Review Board and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (CSIR-IRB/IACUC) in Ghana. Zaid is also active in politics, currently serving as the Communion Officer for the National Democratic Tamale North State Housing Branch. He served as President for the University for Development Studies Graduate Students Association (UDS-GRASAG)
Zaid loves to interact and exchange ideas that impact the lives of the aged and children. He is the interim Head of programmes for GRADEC.

Noah Fiadu-Kpogli
Mr. Noah Fiadu-Kpogli is a researcher and intelligence analyst. His specialty includes communication, international security, and diplomacy. He is proficient in intelligence research; intelligence gathering and analysis and has previously engaged in special security operations in support of law enforcement.
Mr Fiadu-Kpogli has attended several courses locally and internationally. He is a graduate of University of Ghana, Legon where he obtained Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. He holds a professional diploma in intelligence analysis from the Doyen Institute of Intelligence and Investigations, a professional diploma in intelligence operations from IISS, and a certificate in investigative reporting in platforms from the Knight Centre for Journalism in the Americas, University of Texas, Austin.
Mr. Fiadu-Kpogli is a member of the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts (IALEIA), an association committed to professionalism in law enforcement and intelligence analysis at the local, national, and international levels.
